Kat McNamara Keeps 2 Nerf Guns And So Many Baking Supplies In Her Home Kitchen
Shadowhunters star Kat McNamara brought us inside her kitchen and showed us all of her baking supplies as well as some unlikely items to have in her kitchen. From her coffee obsession to her special recipe collection, Kat loves all of the items in her cooking space.
Kat's been living in her current house for about three years now, but has just gotten the chance to really make the place her own since usually she was too busy filming her show. Her new renovations include adding subway tile backsplash to her kitchen, which is one of her favorite parts aside from island.
The island is her favorite spot because it's where people tend to gather when she hosts, and she loves using it as a space to lay out ingredients when she's whipping something up. You can often find Kat in the kitchen baking. Her grandmother taught her how to bake when she was young and she has photo copies of all of her family's favorite baking recipes in her cabinet.
Around Christmastime, Kat says her kitchen turns into a "cookie factory" and her favorite cookie to make is oatmeal butterscotch. Baking is such a big part of her life, in fact, that her kitchen bar is stocked with scotch for drinking and tequila and spiced rum for baking.
While she spends a lot of time baking or brewing a cup of coffee for herself, her kitchen is also a place to have fun. She keeps two Nerf guns, a children's geography globe, and binoculars in her kitchen...ya know, just in case!
