Karol G Wears Wet Look Dress on Billboard Music Awards 2023 Red Carpet

Karol G brought a wet look to the Billboard Music Awards 2023 red carpet on Sunday in Los Angeles. The singer wore a nude minidress with an abstract pattern that created the illusion of a wet fabric. She completed the outfit with clear heels by Gianvito Rossi.
Karol’s dress was similar to the look worn by Shakira in their collaborative music video “TQG,” which was released in February. Shakira wore a custom dress by designer Di Petsa, who is known for creating wet clothes. Petas created a wet technique that took six months to complete and it’s a secret that the designer keeps close to her chest.

Karol opened the Billboard Music Awards ceremony with a performance of her hits “Qlona,” “Labios Mordidos” and the unreleased track “Ojos Ferrari.” The singer received five nominations during this year’s Billboard Music Awards, including Latin Pop Album for “Mañana Será Bonito,” which was the first Spanish-language album by a female artist to reach Billboard’s No. 1 spot.
On Thursday, Karol G attended the Latin Grammy Awards 2023 wearing a sparkling pink minidress by Balmain. The singer won three awards, including Album of the Year. Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing celebrated her trophies on Instagram. “Congratulations my dear on all your incredible @latingrammys awards last night, you deserve the best!” he wrote.
The Billboard Music Awards celebrate the accomplishments of international musicians, as well as songs and albums within the Billboard charts. This year’s event is sponsored by Marriott Bonvoy and Lexus, who will provide transportation and host one of the show’s star-studded musical performances.
In addition to Rexha, performers included Mariah Carey, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha, Karol G, Tate McRae, NewJeans, Peso Pluma, Stray Kids and Morgan Wallen.
