A photo of Khloé Kardashian seems to have been (almost) wiped from the internet, and Kim Kardashian's chief marketing officer has spoken out amid mounting confusion.

To recap real quick in case you don't eat, sleep, and breathe Kardashian news: Over the weekend, an image of Khloé wearing a bikini on vacation in Palm Springs popped up on multiple fan accounts which alleged the picture originated on Kris Jenner's mom MJ's private Instagram. Cute! But then the photo in question began disappearing from the accounts that posted it, with Insta users saying they were asked to remove it. This caused a lot of speculation that the Kardashians were attempting to delete it even though it sounds like it was initially a private image posted to a private account.

So, what really happened here? Tracy Romulus, the chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, shared the following statement with Page Six:

“The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant. Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”

A source also told the outlet the image was taken when Khloé was mid-conversation. There's been some judgment on the internet about the Kardashians wanting to delete the pic, but ultimately, it's up to Khloé to decide what private images she wants to share of herself online, so next!
