Kanye West and Irina Shayk Have Broken Up Even Though They Were Apparently Never Really Dating Anyway

Kanye West and Irina Shayk are over, which is an impressive feat considering they were also never really a couple to begin with, apparently.
The pair, who were romantically-linked (but not *really* dating) for a couple of months this summer, have officially ended things, according to reports from Us Weekly, People, and Entertainment Tonight.
"Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started, there’s nothing going on there," a source close to the pair told Us Weekly of their non-romance. According to the source, the reason the couple "never really started" comes down to the simple fact that "they aren’t great romantic partners."
People's sources confirmed that the would-be relationship fizzled out before it ever really became a true ~thing~.
While one source said simply that, "It was never a serious thing that took off," a second insider offered a little more detail about the excuses that are flying around for why Kanye and Irina are leaving each other on read indefinitely.
"Kanye has been busy working and spending time with his kids. This is his focus. He doesn't have time to date right now. He finds Irina amazing though," the second source added. "They remain friendly."
FWIW, sources close to the not-couple have been stressing their super casual status for...pretty much the whole time they've been linked.
"The two of them have always just been having fun together. They're both doing their own thing and down to have a good time without any strings attached," a source told ET Online in July.
Another source told ET that month that Kanye and Irina were "just keeping things casual and friendly" and that "Irina isn't looking for anything serious right now and is enjoying being single."
Kanye and Irina's reps haven't commented on the split yet and neither of them have addressed the news on social media (and they might never address it, since everything was so low-key ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
