Kamala Harris's Niece Meena Chose a Green Monochromatic Look for the Inauguration

Meena Harris, Vice President Kamala Harris's niece, bestselling author, and founder of Phenomenal, appeared at the Capitol today to celebrate the Inauguration of the 46th president of the United States, Joe Biden. The author appeared on the campaign throughout Harris's bid for the presidency, and then once again when she joined the ticket with Joe Biden as his running mate for vice president. And, like many of the Vice President's and the President's women family members, Meena choose a bright and colorful monochromatic look by Ulla Johnson for the occasion.

Meena, who is also an attorney, took her place in the audience for today's historic festivities wearing a ruffled green Ulla Johnson top and matching skirt with embroidered detailing, topping the look with a green Coach shearling jacket in a similar tone, and accessorizing the look with silver stiletto boots. She also added jewelry by Ana Khouri and Temple St. Clair. Her daughters, who have appeared in many photos and social media moments with Vice President Harris, were dressed in matching purple frocks.

On the eve of the inauguration, Meena appeared with her family at the memorial service for Americans who lost their lives during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. For that occasion, she wore suffragette white from head to toe, including an ivory teddy bear coat and Marion Parke quilted napa boots.

The Vice President wore a similar Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera suit to celebrate her and Biden's victory on November 7, and if you notice, Meena's two daughters were also in white, coordinated looks down to matching white combat boots. Those same boots were worn by the little ones on January 19 in Washington D.C. to complement their matching orange dresses and white puffy overcoats.

Though inaugural festivities are certainly different this year, there will be some celebration. In advance of virtual inaugural balls, Meena filmed some video spots for the occasion and picked sparkling brown Prabal Gurung with thigh-high boots for the occasion.
