Days after a video of her go-to Thanksgiving turkey recipe went viral, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris took to Twitter to share her go-to cornbread dressing recipe just in time for you to make a tweak to your Thanksgiving menu.

In the tweet, Harris acknowledged the hard year, and said the she, like many others, has turned to cooking to cope. She said she was sharing the recipe hoping that even those who are not with their families this Thanksgiving can find a little comfort in the kitchen.

"During difficult times I have always turned to cooking," she wrote: "This year, I wanted to share one of my family’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes with you. I hope whenever you’re able to make it in life, it brings you as much warmth as it has brought me—even when separated from those I love."

The delicious-sounding recipe combines things like sweet and hearty cornbread mix, spicy sausage, sweet apples, and spices like sage, thyme, and rosemary. It's a fairly simple recipe that only uses about a dozen ingredients, many of which you probably already have in your spice drawer and fridge. But one thing is for sure—it sounds like it would make the perfect companion to your turkey this year.

You can follow along with her Twitter thread to get the full recipe, and it sounds like you won't exactly be alone. Many people shared in her replies that they'll be adding this to their table this year, with some saying it was their first time attempting any type of dressing.
