Before Kaley Cuoco shined as Penny on Big Bang Theory or Cassie on The Flight Attendant, she worked with the legendary late actor John Ritter on 8 Simple Rules. Kaley played Bridget, one of Paul’s (John’s character) daughters.

After John’s untimely death in 2003 from an aortic dissection, his family started the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. On May 5, the foundation hosted a gala in California and Kaley was in attendance.

For the special occasion, the 36-year-old wore a stunning off-the-shoulder white lace gown by Zuhair Murad. She completed her look by wearing her hair in a braid with soft, natural makeup.

In addition to photos of Kaley on the red carpet, the star also posted an Instagram, shouting out her team who put together her look while also giving a sweet nod to John at the end. “Happy girl 💫 a special evening wearing a special dress @zuhairmuradofficial @manoloblahnik : happy glam @bradgoreski @daniela_viviana @hairbymarilee @jamiemakeup @lubastailoring (love you John ♥️).”

Kevin Zegers, who worked with John in It Came From the Sky, and Amy Davidson, who also starred in 8 Simple Rules, were at the gala as well.

For the night, Kevin posted a sweet photo with Kaley on Instagram along with a lovely tribute to John.

“It’s been 20 years since we first met. John Ritter was our surrogate Dad. So happy to spend the night together remembering our friend and raising some money for the @johnritterfoundation,” Kevin wrote.

Amy shared, “Truly all the feels. Supporting the John Ritter Foundation and all they do for aortic dissection research and awareness is truly an honor.”
