Kaley Cuoco Is Spending Her Honeymoon… Recovering from Surgery
Talk about bad timing! It’s been less than a week since Kaley Cuoco’s incredible wedding — which featured some seriously jaw-dropping bridal fashion — but rather than jetting off for the ultimate post-nuptial trip with hubby Karl Cook, the actress is spending her honeymoon… recovering from shoulder surgery.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram this week to share a photo of herself in a hospital bed, her arm in a sling and her new husband grinning next to her. “When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery – thank you for all the love and support!” she captioned the pic.
Never one to lose her sense of humor, the Big Bang Theory star went on to joke, “Knowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems. Thank god my hair color is on point.”
And she wasn’t kidding about her hubby! Cook wasted no time taking to Instagram to share recovery videos and photos of his boo, including one of her sleeping in the car on the way home from the hospital, which he captioned, “@normancook snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow!”
Sharing another close-up snap of his bae that same day, he wrote, “Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow…. well @normancook yours is memorable #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon.”
As it turns out, the actress actually planned the surgery over a year ago. Taking to Insta stories to explain the timing, she told fans, “This was a planned surgery I’ve had for over a year. I hurt [my shoulder] over a year ago and did not need immediate surgery so brilliantly planned it five days after our wedding. I knew I’d have a babysitter.”
Instagram photos and videos aside, Cook seems to be doing a pretty good job so far. When he’s not busy teasing her on social media, he’s rubbing her feet, learning how to make the perfect topknot, and keeping her company during movie marathons, which so far have included The Greatest Showman.
