Kaley Cuoco Reveals Big Career News and 'Big Bang Theory' Fans Say They "Can't Wait"

Prepare yourselves, Big Bang Theory fans — Kaley Cuoco is one step closer to coming back to TV.
In a new post added to The Flight Attendant actress' Instagram, she revealed that she wrapped filming for her latest TV show, Based on a True Story. While sharing a collection of photos documenting the process, she also disclosed that it won't be long before fans can see her in action over on NBC's streaming platform.
"🩸 And that’s a wrap on #basedonatruestory season 1!" she wrote on March 4. "Coming very very soon to @peacock! Thank you to an unbelievable cast, crew, producing team and all involved to make this crazy (kinda true) sometimes extremely funny, insane show! Get ready, 🔪 hope you love it 🩸 ok time to have a baby now lol 😆."
When fans learned the 8 Simple Rules alum completed working on her latest project before impending motherhood, they couldn't help but voice their thrill on Instagram.
"Woooo! Cannot wait for this!" one person wrote in the comments. "I can’t wait for it to come out! Love you Kaley!" another added. "Adore her🔥🔥🔥," a different user noted.
'The Big Bang Theory'
So, what exactly is Based on a True Story about and where does Kaley fit into the narrative? According to an August 2022 article from Variety, the Peacock comedy thriller show will follow a realtor, a plumber and a former tennis star whose lives intertwine by chance and change the way the United States looks at true crime.
As far as Kaley's role in the show, Deadline reported she's set to portray a married woman named Ava Bartlett. She also will star alongside The Mindy Project star Chris Messina, who Variety announced in October 2022 will play a character named Nathan.
It's safe to say that we haven't seen Kaley in this kind of show before and we couldn't be more excited!
