Kaitlyn Bristowe Has Some Words of Advice for Bachelorette Hannah B. After She Was Shamed for Having Sex Before Marriage
Kaitlyn Bristowe has some words of encouragement for Hannah Brown after she was slut-shamed on The Bachelorette.
Luke P. told Hannah that he'd go home if she had sex before marriage.
In a sneak peek of next week's episode of The Bachelorette, Luke P. handled Hannah Brown's romantic history as awfully as you'd imagine. When she told him that she has had sex before marriage, he went on and shamed her for it, as if she needed another reason to send him home.
He told her, "So let's talk about sex, and how the marriage bed should be kept pure. And let's say that you've had sex with one or multiple of these guys. I'd be wanting to go home." Hannah then replied, I don't owe you anything...my husband would never say what you just said to me. You don't decide what I can and can't do, because you don't own me." Which, yes! All the applause for Hannah B.!
After seeing that clip, former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, who was also slut-shamed after sleeping with Nick Viall before the fantasy suite episode, came out with some words of encouragement for Hannah.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Kaitlyn said, "Buckle up and call me, because I have your back." She added, "Stay strong, my friend, because you are in for a rough ride, but I am here for you." Kaitlyn also said that she wants Hannah to reach out to other former Bachelorettes who can relate to what she's going through.
As for what Hannah should do now, Kaitlyn simply advised that she should embody the "do you" mantra and own it. She said:
"She put it out there, it's who you are. You can't be ashamed of it, and you just have to stand by your decisions and who you are, and it will all turn out the way it's supposed to. Whenever you're true to yourself, things work out. You might go through a rough patch, but in the end it'll work out for you because being true to yourself is the best thing you can do."
