Kaitlyn Bristowe Gives Mental Health Update After Panic Attack Forces Her to Skip PCCAs

Bachelor Nation's Kaitlyn Bristowe gave an emotional update on how she's doing following her breakup from ex-fiancé Jason Tartick.
In an Instagram post uploaded in the evening of Sept. 28, Bristowe shared a collection of photos, showing her having a facial, riding in a car during a rainy day, smiling at the gym, and crying at home. In the caption, she explained the context of the photos, noting, "These pics were all taken today. Today was rough. But I pushed through."
She then shared that she was meant to attend the People's Choice Country Music Awards at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House, where Tartick was also among the list of invitees. The 38-year-old decided to stay at home instead due to her mental health.
Bristowe wrote, "Was supposed to go to the peoples choice country music awards tonight but my body had other plans. A panic attack, (I’ve only had 4 real ones in my life). into a light work out to move my body, a relaxing facial, hair appointment, and now I just need rest. Listen to your body. emotions are wild man."
During the awards show's red carpet, Tartick spoke about the breakup to E! News on the red carpet.
The 34-year-old shared, "Everything's going alright. I'm taking it day by day. There's highs and lows, these situations are never easy." The Bachelorette alum also noted that five years is a long time to be with someone, so he's still in the midst of grieving the relationship. "But Kaitlyn and I are working through it," he assured.
Tartick and Bristowe announced their breakup in a joint Instagram post shared on Aug. 6. The former couple wrote, "After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement."
They added that while "it's heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye", their "care and admiration for one another will never die."
