Kaia Gerber's Effortless Updo Is the Perfect Summer Wedding Inspo

So pretty.

Although we often look to Kaia Gerber for her off-duty looks (she loves a comfy pair of Birkenstocks and minimal glam), her on-duty looks are just as cool. It's difficult, sometimes, to take inspiration from celebrities on the red carpet, but Gerber's latest is easygoing yet poised, and we'll be copying it for all our fancy events this spring and beyond.

On May 11, Gerber arrived at the carpet to celebrate Apple TV's '60s beach drama, Palm Royale, where she plays Mitzi, a local Palm Beach manicurist. For the event, the 22-year-old was dressed in a simple mod black-and-white dress and black kitten heels by Celine, courtesy of stylist Danielle Goldberg. We couldn't look away from her glam, especially her sweet updo that leaned into the '60s aesthetic of the show.

Gerber put a modern twist on the beehive style with help from hairstylist Bryce Scarlett. It had all of the volume of a beehive but was slightly pared back to avoid feeling too costume-y. A few loose strands that flipped up at the ends were pulled out for a laidback feel that matched the actress's low-key but chic aesthetic.

For glam, Gerber worked with makeup artist Nina Park to achieve no-makeup makeup. Her freckles were slightly visible, her brows were full and fluffy, and she styled a sleek cat-eye with spider lashes. She had the tiniest pop of pink on her cheeks with an iridescent glow and a faux-bitten lip look to tie her beauty together.

While I sadly have no plans to make a red carpet appearance anytime soon, I'm saving this look as inspo for every upcoming wedding on my summer calendar thanks to its perfect blend of elegant and efforless.
