The clog takeover isn’t stopping.

When I was younger, there was one shoe I said I would never wear: Birkenstocks. Coming from Germany, everyone in my family obviously wore these quintessential German comfort shoes all the time; my mom, my dad, my grandparents, the list goes on. I, on the other hand, never did — until I turned 27 and realized I needed to be nicer to my feet and wear shoes that actually offer proper support. Birkenstocks do that and more, so it’s no wonder celebs are wearing them to death. Sorry, young Eva!

Kaia Gerber is that latest A-lister to repeatedly wear the comfy, practical Euro shoes that have been taking Hollywood by storm for years — though I have to say my mom and dad were decades ahead of this “trend.” The model was photographed out in Los Angeles, wearing a simple yet effortlessly chic off-duty look that consisted of a matching Bleusalt lounge set. She paired the label’s Kaia pants that, yes, were designed specifically for her, with a crew-neck, long-sleeve shirt that looks so comfy, I’m convinced I need to make it mine, too. She accessorized with sunnies and a canvas tote bag that’s a Gerber favorite, but at the base of it all were those shoes: the Birkenstock Boston Clogs that deserve a spot with your wardrobe staples, stat.

When you think of Birkenstocks, the first style that probably comes to mind is probably the buckled Arizona slides, and I don't blame you — they’re arguably the most famous. But, they're not the most feasible for the cold-weather season, which is the time of year when the Boston clog tends to shine. That’s because unlike the Arizona, the Boston has a fully covered front that keeps your toes toasty. But, you still get the ease of wear of a classic slide, plus the beloved comfort of Birkenstocks, as the Boston iteration is also designed with a cork-and-latex footbed that offers proper support and cushioning.

The Boston clog is, well, a clog, but given the style’s popularity, this shoe’s vengeance shouldn’t come as a surprise. In fact, at one point, these shoes were so in demand, there was an actual shortage. What’s more, so many celebrities have backed this particular Birkenstock, including Kendall Jenner, who wears her Bostons on repeat, Riley Keough, Zoë Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, and Katie Holmes, only further adding to its appeal.

The good news is that there are plenty of Boston clogs available to buy right now — and you can wear them the second they arrive at your doorstep. Simply add in a pair of cashmere socks, and you’re good to tackle cold-weather style with ease. Shop more clogs below; trust me when I say you’ll be wearing them on repeat like Gerber.
