Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford Channel Twinning Supermodel Looks

Fresh off a Forces of Fashion talk about their overlapping modeling careers, Kaia Gerber and her mother Cindy Crawford stepped out this weekend in New York City dressed as twins — although each woman put her own supermodel spin on the same look.

Gerber opted for her now signature Danielle Guizio leather trench coat à la The Matrix, along with a black top, high-waisted faded jeans, and white sneakers. For the ultimate off-duty touch, she added a low-key baseball cap. It was the same kind of long black coat and rib-skimming jeans that her mother would often wear to the airport in the heyday of her modeling career.

As for present-day Crawford, the bombshell went for a cropped jacket, a V-neck sweater, faded jeans, and white Stan Smith shoes.

This isn’t the first time that Gerber has followed in her mother's fashion footsteps. When she celebrated her 18th birthday in early September, Gerber wore a custom-made Versace bondage dress, similar to the one that her mother wore back in 1992 to the MTV Awards from Versace’s Fall 1992 collection. Whether off or on the runway, Gerber’s sartorial tributes to her mom have been paying off quite nicely. Call them two peas in a chic pod.
