Kai Neville Made a New Surf Flick; Watch the Trailer and the Premiere Party Recap

In the niche realm of modern surf cinema, Kai Neville is one of the biggest names.

He's the Scorsese of our weird little alcove in the world of films, with lauded titles like Modern Collective (2009), Lost Atlas (2011), and Dear Suburbia (2012).

And now, Neville’s back with a new flick, Vacuum, which features the Epokhe eyewear crew (Creed McTaggart, Occy, Craig Ando, Harry Bryant, Dion Agius, and others), and will be dropping in just a couple days on November 29th.

But in the meantime, we can get hyped on the film with the trailer above, and the global premiere video recap, which recently went down in Byron Bay, seen below.

Per a press release, here’s what the so-called “lo-fi” film is all about:

Vacuum the latest visual portrait from director Kai Neville, offers a captivating visual collage of the Epokhe surf team. Collected from various locations around the globe, these clips provide a kaleidoscopic depiction of their world. Shot primarily around beloved homebreaks, the film captures iconic footage of the team in action. While showcasing familiar faces, the film also introduces fresh talent, punctuated by a reverent tribute to the previously unseen archives of OCCY, thoughtfully curated by Jack McCoy. ‘Vacuum’ is a sensory banquet of surf action.

“Featuring: Creed McTaggart, Mark Occhilupo, Jaleesa Vincent, Craig Anderson, Dakoda Walters, Dion Agius, Shaun Manners, Jack Freestone, Taj Burrow, Chippa Wilson, Kaito Ohashi, Mitch Coleborn, Harry Bryant, Eithan Osborne, Lungi Slabb, Kanaiya Webb & Jai Glindeman.”

Vacuum will drop on epokhe.co on the November 29th; stay tuned.
