Kai Jones' Monster Cliff Send Is Worth Watching Over And Over Again

Kai Jones, teenage phenom and up-and-coming professional skier, knows a thing or two about dropping cliffs.

Case in point: this video of a monster send filmed in Montana from last season that Kai shared on Instagram yesterday, August 7th.

You know you're doing something right when Markus Eder -- an all-around freeskiing master -- comments "duuude?" on your post.

That, to me, is the only reasonable reaction to Kai's cliff drop -- an exclamation of surprise mixed with curiosity.

I've always wondered how the pros go about teeing up stuff this large because if it looks big on camera, it probably felt enormous in person.

Kai probably had time to think about what he'd had for lunch three days prior, whether or not he'd done his homework, and if he should go with blue or red pants next winter before he hit the ground.

Mostly joking. Mostly.

If this clip piqued your interest, the entire film from which it was pulled, Stoke The Fire, is available now on Teton Gravity Research TV, a repository of TGR's ski movie catalog for premium subscribers.
