Kacey Musgraves’ Wedding Dress Was Handcrafted: Here’s What to Know
Biscuits and Berta for this bride. Country superstar Kacey Musgraves, who married Ruston Kelly in mid-October, chose a design by Israeli fashion house Berta for her outdoor wedding, a rep confirms to The Knot.
For her fall-theme nuptials, Musgraves appropriately selected a design from Berta Balilti’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, a line that was marked by sexy silhouettes, gorgeous antique lace detailing, and intricate beadwork. The bride’s specific style—a long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline and an open back—was comprised of handcrafted lace on an embellished payette layer. The piece included a dramatic train, and was embroidered with floral appliqués.
“The woman who chooses to wear Berta is a sophisticated, forward thinker, who is truly really looking for something unique and different,” the rep says. “She cherishes the importance of the wedding dress and how it makes her feel, from the inside and out.”
The equally-stylish groom wore a vivid green, soft velvet blazer accented by black, silk lapels, paired with a crisp white button-down shirt and black slacks.

Together, the country couple coordinated perfectly with the outdoor wedding in the woods. Moments after being pronounced husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly shared their first kiss as husband and wife while a colorful confetti toss sprinkled the aisle.
Photographer Natalie Barrett—who previously captured the wedding of the bride’s sister, Kelly Musgraves—documented the heartfelt occasion. The entire ceremony itself took place on the property of the couple’s newly-refurbished home in Nashville.

“The best kind of magic. Best day of my life,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.
The “Follow Your Arrow” hitmaker followed up with a sentimental message of her own, writing: “Saturday, in a sacred place where two rivers meet and join together, I married my best friend..barefoot and surrounded by the deepest kind of magic and love that exists. I’ve never felt so tranquil and happy. We made our promises to each other under the trees and then drank and danced into the night. We couldn’t have done any of it without the help of our wonderful families and amazing friends.”
Musgraves and Kelly got engaged on Christmas Eve last December.
