Kacey Musgraves Is a Literal Barbie Doll on the Met Gala Red Carpet

Multi Grammy Award winner Kacey Musgraves is no stranger to having fun with fashion-her jaw-dropping Grammy and Oscar red carpet looks were case in point. But for her first Met Gala, Kacey channeled a true fashion icon-Barbie-with the help of Jeremy Scott for Moschino.

Outside of her cellophane packaging and come to life, Musgraves' look comes complete with some extras, as Barbie always does. Her full hot pink look was a leather bomber jacket turned full gown, complete with a thigh-high slit, bold magenta sunnies, and a blow dryer purse. Yes, a blow dryer purse.

Barbie Musgraves accented the look even further with a feather boa and a beauty transformation, going platinum from her natural brunette to suit her character's signature shade of blond.

Musgraves took it one step further when it came to her Camp-inspired theme, departing from Manhattan's iconic The Mark Hotel in (what else but) a Barbie-pink convertible. Talk about the art of being extra, and the study of all things over-the-top. This, dear fashion and country music devotees, is how you have fun with fashion.

Kacey and her stylist, Erica Cloud, teased the look earlier today with Barbie-sized accessories, only to have Kacey reveal the look in life-size for the Gala's pink carpet.

We began thinking about what this Barbie would be dubbed when she inevitably makes her way to toy store shelves, and "Salon Style" Barbie, "California Cool" Barbie-or, most likely, Spacey Kacey-all came to mind. Turns out, we won't have to wait. Moschino went ahead and produced Kacey's look as a limited edition Met Gala collectible Barbie. Fans and fashion lovers, start your Ebay engines.
