JW Anderson Unleashes the Wild-Style Clog

These days, those of us who can are spending much more time indoors than usual. That means wearing—or at least trying to wear—cozy clothes and footwear with newfound zest. From smart sweatsuits to the fashion-heavy, work-from-home fits, we're all rethinking how we get dressed in the mornings. And, as timing would have it, British designer Jonathan Anderson has just released some comfort-centric footwear isn't short on boldness and luxury.

His eponymous JW Anderson label is best known for eye-catching chunky knitwear and flowy prep-inspired essentials. (Not to mention: the brand's incredibly stylish collaborations with Uniqlo.) Recently, though, Anderson has started to make waves with his wild and covetable footwear. Earlier this year at Paris Fashion Week, the designer sent blinged-out backless loafers down the runway. (Think of them as Gucci mules on acid, custom-designed for hip-hop's more avant-garde dressers.) Now, kicks from the brand's spring-summer collection have landed, and they're the perfect combination of bold style and supreme comfort. The multi-colored upper blends shades of blues and greens, and is made of cozy wool felt. The artful swirl of colors sits on top of a simple leather-lined cork sole. If the Technicolor look is a little much for your personal taste, there is a simpler black leather version. To split the difference, there are baby blue and dusty pink variations, too.

A next-level pair of house shoes is a quick way to elevate any sweatsuit-based outfit you may be wearing. Sure, cozy clogs might not have been high up on your list when spending the majority of your days out and about in the world. But times have changed, and if you're looking to get your fix of high fashion during the WFH Era, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more extraordinary pair than these. Plus, they're undoubtedly sturdy enough to wear outside—when the time comes.
