Justin Bieber Reportedly Skipping Grammys 2018

And it’s apparently for a good reason.

Justin Bieber is reportedly skipping the Grammys this year.

According to TMZ, the artist won't be attending the event, or any other awards shows, until he's done with new music. A source told the outlet that Justin doesn't want to make any appearances until he's done with his new album. That also apparently means that the "Love Yourself" singer is working on new stuff, something that he hasn't confirmed himself to the public.

But Justin does have somewhat of a stake in the 2018 Grammys even though he won't be showing up for the event. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are performing "Despacito" Sunday night, which obviously had Justin on it for the remix. The track is also nominated for three awards including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Justin also skipped the Grammys last year despite being nominated four times for his album Purpose. He spent the night going out for sushi and a source reportedly said that Justin "doesn't think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers."

The 23-year-old celeb has been fairly quiet on the music front the past couple of months since he canceled the final 12 concerts of his Purpose tour. But he's been in the news as of late after he and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez reportedly got back together in November.
