Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin threaten to sue a TikTok user

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are threatening to take legal action against a California plastic surgeon over claims he made about the famous model on TikTok. In a cease and desist letter obtained by E! News, attorneys for the couple accused Dr. Daniel Barrett of using Baldwin’s “name, image and likeness” to advertise his practice. and spread “false, uncorroborated claims” that she had plastic surgery. He is also accused of using “copyright protected lyrics” from Bieber’s song “Sorry” in his post. In the TikTok video, Barrett displayed two photos of Baldwin taken several years apart and drew attention to her nose. “What do you think? Well, I’ll tell you what I think,” he said. “I think it’s physically impossible without getting a little bit of help from someone like myself to go from this picture to that picture”. He suggested that Baldwin has undergone rhinoplasty, a skin tightening procedure, jawline contouring, genioplasty and got filler in her cheeks and lips. The Bieber family legal team called the claims “flagrant and conscious infringements of our clients’ rights”. and warned Barrett that he is subject to “statutory damages for each willful infringement”. The couple’s legal team called for the doctor to issue a public statement retracting his claims and remove all posts about the couple. Barrett has not yet responded to the letter — and the TikTok in question is still online
