Justin Bieber is not happy with how he is being portrayed in the media right now. The singer recently accused reporters of purposefully choosing photos about him where he says he looks “sick and unwell.”

On Wednesday, Justin took to his Instagram Stories to address the subject. "I'm still in shock we are still using those photos of me," he wrote. "I'm telling you media wants to pick bad photos of me to make it look like I'm not okay."

Justin then gave an example of the photos he is talking about, which are from the red carpet premiere of his YouTube docuseries, Justin Bieber: Seasons in January 2020.

In another slide, Justin shared four images, comparing the image he doesn't like to those he would prefer. "There have been countless photo shoots and opportunities for media to pick up other photos but they still run with this one to make me look sick and unwell," he said. "It's not right."

Justin has spoken on the topic before. Back in November 2020, the singer posted a video on his Instagram stories. "I don’t know what the algorithm is for why certain photos come up, but this is so frustrating considering that I took a lot of time to get healthy and I feel as though people try to legitimately sabotage me," he said.

In the video, Justin shows the images that came up at the time when he searched his name.

"This was a time where I was really unhealthy. I was battling Lyme disease, right? All of the top photos are me looking disheveled, right? I was obviously going through a tough time, but it’s like, these are the photos that the media tries to run with." The photos he is pointing at come from that same premiere last January.

"It’s frustrating me," he continues. "I wish they would change it. I’ve asked them to change it. I’ve done a lot of photo shoots since then and yeah, they don’t have to put these photos, but they do. I don’t know why. I mean, look at my skin now. There are so many photos they can choose."

Justin has been very open about his health struggles, both mental and physical. He opened up about his Lyme Disease in January 2020, around the time those photos were taken. In a now deleted Instagram, he revealed he was also dealing with chronic mono at the time, which affected his "skin, brain function, energy, and overall health," seemingly explaining his appearance in the photos he does not like.
