In true Carrie Bradshaw fashion, too.

There’s a new photo taking the internet by storm—and no, it’s not because of any drama involved in it. It’s because it’s so endearing and silly and fun that it simply couldn’t not blow up. And, if you’ve been scrolling at any point in the past 24 hours, you probably know exactly which snap I’m talking about: the one of Sarah Jessica Parker basically wearing a cloud hat, a colorful dress, and those controversial sandals that are about to sell out thanks to her.

But let’s take a step back. The snap of SJP was, of course, taken while she was in the middle of filming her Sex and the City sequel, And Just Like That… But, this one struck a chord with people because it felt decidedly more Sex and the City Bradshaw. That silly, fashion-statement-worthy cloud hat by Maryam Keyhani is a history-making sartorial moment—for sure—which she paired with Ossie Clark’s “Traffic Light” dress and the shoes to beat all shoes: Dr. Scholl’s the Original Sandal that’s a far more sensible option than Carrie is typically wearing. Nevertheless, Bradshaw did, in fact, wear these exact shoes 22 years ago—in pink, but hey, they’re basically the same.

Dr. Scholl’s Original sandals have a funny (read: unexpected) history: They were originally known as an exercise sandal, so their slip-on design required your toes to literally hang on—which, in turn, gave your legs a workout. Now, however, the podiatrist-designed slip-on is a fashion icon, beloved for its easy-to-wear silhouette and classic, timeless look that Parker wore on set in both 2002 and now in 2024. Not much has changed, and that’s what makes it so special.

The Original Sandal is a simple, low-heeled clog that features a wood sole, Leather Working Group-certified leather that’s used for the signature front strap, an adjustable buckle, meaning you can find the ideal fit for your foot width, and a cushioned insole with arch support for maximum comfort. Sounds pretty perfect, right? Right. So no wonder it’s been a staple in Bradshaw’s shoe closet for 22 years. That’s certainly not nothing, and when you get your pair, you’ll see why.

The clog can be styled with everything from jeans to dresses, especially come summertime when you want to allow your feet to breath. So, dip your toes into Dr. Scholl’s clog; once you do, you’ll never turn back.
