Real talk: There's nothin’ better than snuggling on your sofa with a comfy, fluffy blanket or three. Until it’s officially A/C season, you can find me in my living room, draped in my collection of throws. The only issue? New York apartments are capital-S smol, and my lived-in loveseat can only withstand so many blankets before my seating situation starts to look like a hot, hot mess. Enter: Blanket storage for all those throws of yours. Sure, chic storage isn't something I would have previously considered, but I'm over here trying to keep my apartment nice and tidy, mkay?

What’s great about these living room storage options is 1) there are range of choices to choose from, including space-saving solutions and good ole’ storage bins that’ll suit every living room ~vibe~ 2) you can use these storage finds for other things like your silk sheets, pillowcases, or your collection of a gazillion sweaters.

My personal fave is *always* the standard woven basket, but if you’re wanting something a little more luxe, try a wall hook holder. Not sure what type of storage solution you’re looking for? No worries babes, because I rounded up 10 storage ideas for you to borrow inspo from. Because gone are the days when we live like Carrie Bradshaw and store all our blankets and sweaters in the oven.

Mkono Woven Storage Basket

I started using a woven basket in college, and this organizing solution has never failed me. Not only are baskets super spacious, but they’re also hella chic and classic. Like, your living room won’t look as organized without a woven basket sitting pretty by your couch, trust me on this.

Honey-Can-Do Black Leaning Blanket Ladder

Remember when I said there are snazzy storage options? Yes, this bb is one of them. A blanket ladder can both store your throws and keep your living area lookin’ fresh. Plus, the ladder can also be its own decor too, so no worries about stashing the ladder in the back of your closet during winter months.

Cradle Decorative Hook

Wall hooks do more than add flair to your Plain Jane walls. They also double as solid storage options. It’s a little unorthodox to store your blankets on hooks, yes, but if placed right, you can have v aesthetically pleasing wall decor that also operates as a genius storage solution.

Ktaxon Firewood Rack

This idea is really out there, but hey, it worked for my mom for decades, so I say it's legit. All you need is a clean firewood rack—emphasis on clean because staining your blankets with firewood is prob really hard to wash out—and some good folding skills. The idea is to roll your blankets tightly as to resemble firewood, and there you have it—a cozy AF blanket display.

Shaker Accent Table or Stool

I promise you that a stool sitting in the middle of your living room won’t look weird. You just gotta find one that pairs well with your decor and more importantly, one that can stack all your blankets on.

Dunbarton Flip Top Storage Bench

Anyone else bought a decorative trunk for college and never used it? No? Well, other than being a smart storage option for your blankets and board games, chic trunks double as coffee tables too.

White Wood Cube Organizer

Ah, storage cubbies. The OG option for storing just about anything! You can either use these cubbies by themselves and place them around your living room, or you can line them atop your bookcases and cabinets. You do you, boo.

Three Shelf Bookcase

Actually, scratch that. Forgo a cubby and just roll all your blankets onto a single shelf. It might not look the most organized (especially if you have bad folding skills like myself), but this def looks better than having your throws scattered all over your cramped apartment.

Ottilie Fabric Storage Ottoman by Christopher Knight Home

Ottoman >> woven basket. Controversial opinion considering I use both, but an ottoman is just *so* much better from a style standpoint. Like, the color, versatile style, and the amount of space you get?? Plus, they can be used as a footrest too. Go ahead—take a load off.

Large Lined Burlap Storage Basket

But! Between a burlap bag, woven basket, and an ottoman, a bag will always be No.1. A burlap tote is both durable and stylish, so your living room won’t suffer decoratively for the sake of storage. Can't forget to mention that most are made from recycled material, which is just another reason why I’m choosing a woven tote over baskets and ottomans every day.
