The First Review of Kim Kardashian in “American Horror Story” Is In

Kim Kardashian: reality television star, business mogul, and… horror-thriller actress. And no, we’re not talking about her film debut in 2008’s Disaster Movie. On April 10, Kim announced that she’s set to star in season 12 of FX’s American Horror Story, opposite Emma Roberts.

“Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate,” a 45-second teaser clip reads, which Kim dropped on Twitter and Instagram on April 10. The SKIMS founder didn’t reveal any details about her role, simply captioning her post, “👀🩸.”

This is already shaping up to be an iconic chapter in the Ryan Murphy-created horror series, which will be written and showrun by actress Halley Feiffer. Keep reading for all the details we know so far about Kim’s role in American Horror Story season 12.

What role does Kim play in American Horror Story season 12?

We don’t know many details of Kim’s role just yet, but we do know that she’ll headline the season alongside American Horror Story veteran Emma Roberts. And per Variety, the part was created specifically for Kim.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy shared in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

At this point you might be wondering, wait... does Kim know how to act? Fair question, but the reality star is one step ahead of you. During the Met Gala on May 1, Kim told Variety that she’s working with an acting coach to prepare for her AHS role. “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience,” she shared. “It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”

What do her co-stars think of her acting chops? Another fair question, and on June 9, American Horror Story alum Zachary Quinto — who will make a cameo in season 12 — dropped the first review of Kim in the horror series. “She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice,” he said of the reality star during the Tribeca Film Festival, per Deadline. “She seemed really in her element and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness... I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she’s gonna do a wonderful job.”

Who else is in the cast of American Horror Story season 12?

Alongside Kim K and Emma Roberts is Only Murders in the Building actress Cara Delevingne. However, details of their characters are still unknown.

Zachary Quinto also makes an appearance in the upcoming season, according to Deadline.

What will American Horror Story season 12 be about?

Season 12 is dubbed Delicate, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and will be partially based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming thriller novel Delicate Condition.

“The Push meets The Silent Patient in a gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens ― while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says,” the official book description reads.

When does American Horror Story season 12 premiere?

FX hasn’t announced the exact release date, but the teaser reveals that season 12 will debut sometime this summer. Production has begun, and Kim has confirmed that she would start filming at the end of May. “We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month. But production has already started and I’m so excited,” she told Variety.
