Just Give In to Jeff Goldblum’s Winter White Sundance Vision

Goldblum and his stylist paired cream-colored pieces from four different brands for the ultimate frosty ensemble.

Rather than publish the string of disparate letters and symbols I sent in a group text regarding this Jeff Goldblum outfit, I’ll attempt to put my feelings into actual words from the English language. The first one? Wowee! At the Sundance Film Festival, Goldblum stepped out to promote his new movie The Mountain wearing almost head-to-toe white. That is an impressive feat in and of itself, with few men willing to try out an alabaster look in the dead of a Utah winter.

But Goldblum and his stylist Andrew Vottero weren’t going to choose just any white ensemble. Instead, the duo paired ivory, cream, and cloud-colored pieces from four different brands. Statistically getting four shades of white to match is about as probable as picking a four leaf clover—not likely to happen outside of a fairy tale. Goldblum and Vottero chose a slant match instead of a perfect one, setting a milky blazer and turtleneck by Gucci against pure white Acne Studios jeans and a marshmallow Prada coat. The ensemble is topped off with Jacques Marie Mage glasses with orange lenses that call back to the Prada logo on the coat, leaving no color unmatched.

None of this would work, of course, without both Goldblum’s statuesque presence and willingness to take such a fashion risk. Amid a sea of shearling boots and black suiting at Sundance, he stands out as true style star in a look that—in two final words—is both extremely cool and extremely hot.
