If you're not listening to the "Inside Trader Joe's" podcast, you're seriously missing out. From brilliant product hacks from employees to insider insights into everything from why products get discontinued to the ingredients you'll never find in those products, the podcast is a must-listen for anyone who calls themself a fan of Trader Joe's.

This week's episode followed one of our favorite formats, a sneak peek into the new products coming to Trader Joe's soon. Hosts Tara Miller and Matt Sloan reveal a whopping 11 new products and 7 returning products arriving in stores this summer. Here are the products we're most excited about, why, and when you can expect to see them in your local Trader Joe's.

The Best New Trader Joe’s Products Coming This Summer

Ube Mochi

This returning favorite features one of our—and seemingly Trader Joe's'—favorite flavor profiles. Ube ice cream is wrapped in sweet, glutinous (yet still gluten-free) rice flour, tinted purple with natural food colorings, of course. Ube has a hard-to-describe flavor, but I find it's somewhere between vanilla and pistachio and white chocolate, which makes it ideal for desserts like these little bite-sized wonders. They should arrive back in freezers around the end of June.

S'mores Ice Cream

A new product in Trader Joe's freezers this summer is the S'mores Ice Cream, featuring graham cracker-flavored ice cream with marshmallow and chocolatey swirls. Host Matt Sloane reveals this one took a lot of trial-and-error, but the final product is, "not so much a deconstructed s'mores, as it is a mixed up ice cream that is absolutely s'mores-like in its flavor." Skip the DQ line and scoop your own s'mores-inspired treat at home.

Fresh Mozzarella Pearls

Your summer pasta salads just got this much better. Mozzarella "pearls", aka perline mozzarella are little balls of creamy perfection. Toss these in any summer salad, skewer them with cherry tomatoes for the easiest appetizer ever, or simply snack on them—they're irresistible. These fresh mozzarella pearls should already be in your local Trader Joe's store, and if they're not, they'll be arriving soon.

Strawberry Lemonade Ice Bars

Another addition to the frozen dessert section this summer are these frozen Strawberry Lemonade-inspired ice bars. This product hails all the way from Italy and will transport you to a Roman holiday, if we're to believe hosts Matt and Tara. Tara shared another brilliant idea for the pops; take a few off the stick, add them to a blender with a little vodka or tequila, and you have a frozen margarita in minutes.

Strawberry Lemonade Joe Joe's

Another sweet treat inspired by Strawberry Lemonade. This seasonal riff on the ever-popular Joe Joe cookie (Trader Joe's' version of an Oreo) features a lemon cookie and strawberry filling. They are back in stores after a successful launch last summer.

Mafalda Corta

Another imported Italian item on the list is this whimsically-shaped pasta. They look like mini lasagna noodles, with ruffled edges that cling to every sauce, thick or thin. I absolutely love Trader Joe’s other imported pasta shapes, and this Mafalda Corta looks like it would be especially great in a baked pasta like this Chicken Parm Casserole.

Midnight Moo

After a long hiatus due to supply chain issues, Organic Midnight Moo—Trader Joe's chocolate syrup—is back. Of this product, co-host Tara Miller says, “Have you ever seen a teenager just stand in front of the refrigerator and squeeze it into their mouth? Because I have.” That’s about all you need to know. It’s obviously great for making chocolate milk (or a chocolate egg cream), but Sloan also recommends drizzling it over ice cream, cake, or other desserts. Midnight Moo is (finally) returning to stores sometime in June.

Sri Lankan Mango Chutney

This “mango-forward” condiment is made in Sri Lanka from an old Sri Lankan recipe. Sloan calls this one “a bit of a sleeper,” and predicts this will catch customers off guard with how incredible it is. I’ll be adding this to grilled pork chops, seared salmon, and even on top of vanilla ice cream all summer long.

Eucalyptus Candle

While this product is not at all edible, it is noteworthy. This candle won a customer contest to pick the next TJ’s candle scent and did it in a landslide victory.

Dark Chocolate Pineapple Sticks

After seeing success with dark chocolate orange sticks, then watermelon and raspberry sticks, Trader Joe’s decided to expand to pineapple. With a snappy chocolate coating and a chewy, jelly-like pineapple center, this candy is seriously delicious—and hard to put down.

“I opened the bag yesterday…and it took all of my willpower to close the bag and not eat them all before we started this recording today,” confesses Miller. These are a limited, seasonal item launching in early July, so grab them when you see them because—like some of the best Trader Joe’s items—they may only be in stores for a short time.
