Jung Kook Embraces Minimalism in Calvin Klein for Times Square Performance

Jung Kook of BTS took to the stage in Times Square in New York City on Thursday, wearing a minimalist denim shirt and slim jeans from Calvin Klein.
Kook’s performance in Times Square, which streamed via Xbox’s Twitch channel, comes fresh off the heels of the release of his solo album “Golden” on Nov. 3.

In March, Calvin Klein Jeans and Under debuted the K-pop star as a global brand ambassador. In a spring 2023 campaign, photographed by Park Jong Ha, the singer showcased new styles, including the ’90s Straight denim and Body Jeans, Relaxed Fit Denim Shirt, Oversized Denim Jacket and Relaxed Fit Standard Logo Crewneck Tee.
In August, Kook was joined by Alexa Demie, Kid Cudi, Kendall Jenner and Blackpink’s Jennie for the fall 2023 Calvin Klein campaign. In September, Kook appeared on the cover of Dazed Magazine, for an interview where he discussed his solo projects following BTS going on hiatus last year.
“I have been a fan of Calvin Klein for a long time, and I’m thrilled to be their newest global ambassador,” Kook said at the time of the appointment. “This partnership is very special, as Calvin Klein’s heritage and brand values resonate with me. My music is how I communicate with my fans around the world, and I see this partnership as an opportunity to connect with them in a new way. I’m incredibly excited for people to see a new side of me in this first campaign for the brand.”
