Is Jung Kook bald?

The question that appeared on every ARMY’s mind today was “Is Jung Kook bald?” The answer is yes, Jung Kook shaved his head in preparation to go to the military. During the last couple of seconds of the Weverse live, Jung Kook ran across the camera saying “Bangtan Sonyeondan” while V laughed in front of the camera and RM and Jimin were laughing out of frame. Fans got a quick glimpse of his shaved head since he kept his hoodie and beanie on during the entire duration of the livestream. And yes, ARMY did screenshot the clip so Jung Kook’s bald head can be seen more clearly.

Jung Kook revealed that he had already shaved his hair before Jimin and V. “I did a video call with him the other day and was shocked to see how short it is!” V reacted via BTS translation account @haruharu_w_bts on X (formerly Twitter).

In the livestream, RM sported a buzzcut, Jimin still had bleached hair, and V had a shorter haircut than what he was normally used to (the last time he had hair like that was when he was in school). The remaining four members of BTS who were not in the military said their thanks to ARMY and told them that they wouldn’t be alone for long because the oldest member Jin will be back from the military in a couple of months.

When Jung Kook debuted his new look, many ARMYs took to social media to react to the fast debut. “Jungkook is bald” was trending on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the live ended.

“of course this is gonna be jungkook’s way to reveal his bald head,” @jeonjkloops posted on X. “the last bts live until june 2025 ending with jungkook running in front of the camera screaming bangtan sonyeondan is very very on brand,” @raplinegold posted. One fan looked towards the future when BTS is reunited in 2025. “i need the reunion live to start with jungkook running across the frame in the opposite direction shouting bts is back,” @queersuga wrote on the platform.
