Julie Bowen Says Sofia Vergara Is "Doing Great" Amid Her Divorce From Joe Manganiello

"She doesn't need Taylor Swift to take her to a game.”

Sofia Vergara is doing better than ever following her divorce from Joe Manganiello, according to her Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen. While speaking with People at the Step Up Inspiration Awards earlier this week, Bowen revealed that Sofia is thriving post-split. 

“Her Instagram says it all,” Bowen said. “We have spoken, and she's doing great. Sofia has always had such a wonderful family that surrounds her and wonderful friends." She jokingly added, "She doesn't need Taylor Swift to take her to a game. She's good. But I'm super happy that all those other girls are going to games with T Swifty. I wish she had been around for me."

Bowen previously voiced her support for Vergara shortly after her and Manganiello first decided to call it quits. "Everything she does, she does with grace," Bowen said during an interview with E! News. "And she rises above and she just goes forward. She's warm and generous and giving to everybody around her. I have no doubt that if she wishes to be in a relationship she will be, but she sure don't need one."

Back in July, Vergara and Manganiello announced they were divorcing after seven years of marriage. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce," the former couple said in a joint statement to Page Six. "As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives." Two days later, the actor officially filed for divorce from Vergara, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
