Julianne Hough has been working her booty off in Hollywood for years now, making her way up from a professional dancer to a household name. And on Tuesday, the star begins her newest stint as co-host of Dancing with the Stars for season 32—a hit show she actually used to dance on herself. The 35-year-old A-lister is constantly reaching new heights.

Of course, now that Julianne is front and center on the beloved show yet again, it’s only natural to wonder about how rich she is—and how she made all that money in the first place. Trust me, you're not the first to wonder what her paychecks look like.

Here’s what you need to know about Julianne Hough’s net worth, plus all the roads that led her to ultra-stardom.

She started dancing competitively at a young age.

Julianne was born in Orem, Utah, and started dancing at a young age, according to Soap Hub. She started performing competitively at just nine years old, and trained at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Orem.

After her parents’ divorce, Julianne and her brother Derek Hough moved to London and started dancing at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, per Soap Hub. She became the youngest dancer—and first American—to win both the Junior World Latin Championship and the International Latin Youth Championship at age 15, according to the Arizona Star.

She was raking in the accolades before she even became a teenager!

She got her break on Show Me The Money in 2006.

Julianne was a Million Dollar Dancer on the short-lived game show Show Me the Money, per IMDB. It only ran for one season. It's not likely she made a ton of money from this stint, but it definitely put her name on the map!

Julianne launched her career with Dancing With The Stars.

Dancing with the Stars led to Julianne’s breakout role as a professional dancer. She joined the cast in 2007 and won the coveted mirrorball trophy that same year with Apolo Ohno as her partner. Julianne also won the trophy that year, too.

She didn't just stop there, though. Jules went on to become a guest judge in 2013 and then a permanent judge in 2014, per Celebrity Net Worth. BTW, Julianne was literally nominated for an Emmy Award for her Mambo choreography on the show, so she is definitely the real deal.

It's not totally clear how much Jules makes on the show, however, the guesstimated starting salary for a pro is $1,600 per episode, per Parade, with a season cap of $100,000. Julianne likely makes way more as a judge, so I think it's safe to assume she's making a pretty penny.

She made a lot of money in music.

Yup, Julianne isn't just a dancer. Her list of talents feels pretty limitless at this point. In 2008, she released a self-titled country album, and went on tour with Brad Paisley and Jewel that same year. While it's not totally clear how much she made on tour,

Her album hit No. 1 on the country charts after its release, according to CMT. The next year, she released a popular Christmas music EP, but hasn't dropped any new music since then, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Julianne also landed some major acting roles.

She’s appeared and starred in a bunch of big-name movies, including an uncredited cameo in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, a role as Georgia in Burlesque, and lead character Ariel Moore in the blockbuster musical Footloose. She even starred in the 2013 Nicholas Sparks movie, Safe Haven.

These days, Jules has taken her acting to the Broadway stage. In 2022, she starred in her debut Broadway show, a political satire, POTUS, and shared a ton of BTS from her time in NYC and her dressing room.

"I feel like I'm in theater school like when I was 10 years old," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I'm just learning and getting a master class from Susan Stroman every single day, feeling like I'm growing as an artist and [in] my craft."

Jules also owns expensive real estate.

In 2009, Julianne bought a $649,000 condo in Nashville, and later sold it for $900,000 in 2013, according to Celebrity Net Worth. She also bought a $1.94 million home in the Hollywood Hills in 2014, and now rents it for $40,000 a month when she travels, Architectural Digest says. That means she's taking in a hefty paycheck every time someone stays in her home.

In 2022, just after her divorce, Jules rented an $18,000-per-month triplex townhouse in the West Village in Manhattan, per the New York Post. The home included a gourmet open kitchen, a living room fireplace, 12-foot ceilings, a home office, and more.

She's done some endorsement deals, too.

Like most celebs, Julianne is no stranger to signing her name on a few endorsement deals here and there, which can help make a bit of cash on the side. Her deals have included:

She started a wine company with her best friend.

Yup, Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough started their very own wine brand called Fresh Vine Wine that sells an exclusive collection of premium low-carb, low-calorie, gluten-free, wines available nationwide, per its website.

"When I was 21 and of legal drinking age I had a boyfriend who knew about wine, so I was excited and curious about being able to go to different vineyards and have incredible experiences," Jules told Forbes. "It wasn’t about getting drunk, it was about tasting and differentiating between the different wines."

Her fave? "I really love the minerality of French wines. A red Burgundy is the perfect wine for me because you can have it with anything."

That said, the company doesn't seem to be making a ton of money right now. In fact, the company reported that it has less than $4 million in equity this year, and "has reported losses from continuing operations and/or net losses in three of its four most recent fiscal years," per Global Newswire.

Julianne also has her own fitness platform, Kinrgy.

The app-based workout platform Kinrgy includes over 250 innovative dance cardio, fitness, yoga, mindfulness, meditation classes and more, the website says.

The app costs $29.99 per month or $300 per year, depending on which plan you pick. So, that means if 1,000 people sign up for Julianne's platform, she's making $300,000 from her fitness venture. Phew!

What is her total net worth in 2023?

With all of that, Julianne is now worth $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

What is Derek Hough’s net worth?

I'm sure you're wondering how that all Jules' money compares to her brother, Derek. (It's only natural, the sibling rivalry is real!) Obviously, Julianne’s brother is doing quite well for himself, too. He’s worth $8 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Now, it's time for me to pop my popcorn and head on over to the couch for Dancing With The Stars season 32!
