Julianne Hough Got Long, Shaggy Bangs and They’re So ‘60s

Goldie Hawn or Julianne Hough? The actress/singer/dancer has gone '60s-chic with long, shaggy bangs and a voluminous lob. It's a different vibe from Hough's typically short, straight bangs and bob she debuted back in September. The new look is courtesy of stylist and close friend Riawna Capri, co-owner of Los Angeles's Nine Zero One Salon. "Goldie vibes all the way," Capri says of her creation. "Very '60s-shaggy, organic, and effortless." Capri also gave Hough "dimensional color with lots of depth." We're in love with the way Hough's ashy-brown roots blend seamlessly into her golden-blonde strands. It's a laid-back, cool blonde that complements the effortless cut.

While Hough's eye-grazing bangs and bright-blonde hue evoke Goldie Hawn's iconic hairstyle, I also see a throwback to the late 1990s/early aughts here. The way her shoulder-length lob has tons of volume but also flips out a bit on the ends? That's exactly how I styled my blonde hair in 2003 after seeing the look on Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, and Mandy Moore. It's not surprising considering everything — clothes, shoes, and makeup, especially — from that time is coming back into style. (Let's please keep low-rise jeans in the past, though.)

Los Angeles-based makeup artist Spencer Barnes gave Hough the soft, pretty makeup to complement her new 'do for Bebe Rexha's Women in Harmony pre-Grammys event. Her beautiful lace Zuhair Murad jumpsuit was styled by Anita Patrickson. Talk about a dream team.

Now, we just have to wait patiently to see what (new?) look Julianne Hough will pull off for the Grammy Awards this weekend.
