Julianne Hough issued a heartfelt statement following the news that her brother Derek's wife Hayley Erbert had been hospitalized and in need of emergency surgery.

"Please pray and send all your love, healing and light to Hayley and Derek 🙏," Julianne wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, Dec. 7. "Thank you from the depths of our families hearts!❤️."

Along with the message, the 35-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro re-shared her older brother's original post detailing the scary incident that left 28-year-old Erbert needing an emergency craniectomy.

Hours before Julianne's statement, Derek took to his Instagram grid with the following information: “At the end of last night’s tout performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition.”

Erbert's health scare–which is described as when blood collects in the skull–occurred while she was performing with Derek as part of the couple's Symphony of Dance tour in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

"I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her," Derek continued, "I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time."

Derek has been romantically tied to Erbert since 2015 and the couple married this past summer, about a month before their Symphony of Dance tour kicked off.

Following Erbert's health scare, Thursday (Dec. 7) night's performance was canceled. But as of writing, it's unclear whether any more upcoming tour dates will be postponed to allow Erbert time to recover.
