Julia Haart From ‘My Unorthodox Life’ Is Worth Over $500 Million

My Unorthodox Life tells the story of Julia Haart's decision to leave an Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York. After the first season dropped on Netflix, viewers instantly had questions about Julia's new, seemingly (very) wealthy lifestyle. The reality TV star's rise to fashion mogul status began when she started her own shoe company. "It didn't occur to me that it's strange to start a shoe brand when you've never made a shoe," Julia told People. "You don't know what you're capable of until you get up and try." That can-do attitude helped her land a job as the creative director of La Perla before becoming the head of massive talent agency/media conglomerate Elite World Group.
Note: Julia was ultimately fired from her position at EWG in 2022, and a judge ruled that her claim of being a co-owner of the business was false.
"I was so determined that I didn't stop to wonder if I would fail," she said. "It was success or death." And, with all the luxury fashion and helicopter rides with her whole family to the Hamptons shown on My Unorthodox Life, it's only natural for fans to wonder about Julia's net worth. Julia helped run a successful talent management company.
"When I took over the company in 2018, we were valued at $90 million, and now we are valued at over $1 billion in two years," Julia told Women's Health in 2021, when she was still working at EWG.
Based on her co-owner status, that meant around $500,000 of her net worth used to come from EWG alone. The "talent media" company represents more than 5,000 actors, artists, models, and others worldwide. (FWIW, some of those models include Kendall Jenner, Iman, and Irina Shayk.)
Julia also explained that the company helps its famous clients take advantage of social media so they can have a healthy and stable career beyond the runway. "If you have a passion and a story to tell and people are listening to you and admire you, I will monetize that," she told WH. "And by doing so, we can truly help create this army of financially-independent women with longevity in their careers."
Julia's ex-husband, Italian entrepreneur Silvio Scaglia, worked at Elite World Group alongside her. Her CEO gig pulled in almost $2 million a year, or $400,000 a month, according to Trend Net Worth.
She also sold her shoe brand, Julia Haart, a few years ago.
When she first started her career, Julia built her own shoe brand from the ground up. "I had investors who helped me, but it was a string of miracles and meeting people," she told People. "Like the person who produced my shoes, I met on an airplane. I found the factories in Italy myself, and I did the public relations, the sales—everything."
Once the brand took off, Julia sold it for a hefty amount. She then went on to serve as the creative director for La Perla, an Italian fashion house that specializes in lingerie.
Pretty sure she made a decent salary for designing so many garments: "For example, this last season I had 250 ready-to-wear pieces, but then I had probably 3,000 or 4,000 lingerie pieces, and probably a couple hundred beachwear pieces. So you do the math," Julia told The Cut back in 2018. (My head hurts just trying.)
Julia's projects were set to grow even more.
Julia revealed that she had massive plans for new fashion lines back in 2021. "We launched e1972 two weeks before the pandemic hit," she said. "So, we hit pause on that, obviously, and we'll launch it again next year."
Fans of My Unorthodox Life get a peek at some of her new product lines in the show, notably her colorful shapewear, but that's just the beginning of her latest foray into fashion. "In terms of the shapewear, that's going to be coming to stores and online in the next few weeks, and it's something I'm really excited about," Julia said.
The new line looks like it launched in early 2022, but there's no major news out about it yet.
But Julia's biggest venture was going to be e1972's new line of sizeless clothing (yep, you read that right). "Women are beautiful—period, end of story. It's not this size or that size, it's your size," she told WH. "Basically, all you have to do is sit in your bed, you move your phone from your head down to your waist, those measurements are sent to us and we will make you a ready to made, totally customized to your size garment that will be shipped to your home. So you literally have a couture piece of clothing that you ordered from your bedroom."
Looks like the sky's the limit for Julia (and her fortune).

Apparently, reality series stars usually make more money than contestants in competition series do, according to The Guardian. So it's likely Julia made a good amount of money from her appearance in the show's first season.
"It's my dream that someone will see the show and give themselves permission to go after what they want, acknowledge what makes them unhappy and fight to decide who they are," Julia told People. "Because it's never too late to change your life." There's no word on a potential season two yet, though.
Julia's memoir was published in 2022.
On top of her high-powered job, Julia somehow found the time to write a memoir, Brazen. The memoir describes her "double life" and her "journey from a world of 'no' to a world of 'yes.'"

So, what is she really worth?
Between her old job, her book, and her penthouse in New York complete with a custom, Clueless-inspired closet (per Entertainment Tonight), just how much is Julia really worth? A cool $600 million, a source close to Julia told Women's Health in 2021.
And it looks like, based on all of her success so far, her bank account is set to soar higher and higher.
