Julia Fox's mod blonde bob is giving Lord Farquaad chic

Rounding off the year in style, Julia Fox appears as the cover star for Cosmopolitan UK's upcoming December/January 2024 issue. And while she is her own muse (not to mention Josh Safdies, too), we're seeing to the icon herself for all of our beauty inspo as she debuted not one but two dramatic hair transformations for the occasion. *Snaps all-round*

Not only did Julia step up and out for our cover shoot in New York City but so did her glam squad – in particular, her talented hairstylist, John Novotny. For a select few shots, John worked his magic, installing a 1960s-style blonde bob wig onto the model. It's giving mod era to a T.

But arguably, what completes the vintage look is the ear-grazing length and extra short micro-fringe.

Erm, Jules – Lord Farquaad called and he wants his 'hair King' title back... Truly iconic.

And not only that but for the issue's cover, Julia is also rocking a look that appears* to be a short brunette pixie haircut.

*But all is not as it seems.

For this shot, John pulled Julia's long locks back and up, styled in a hidden bun. The ends of her hair make for what we see as a choppy fringe. So, it's a hair illusion, if you will!

Clever, huh?

With that in mind, before you impulsively book in at the hair salon to make like Julia with a head-turning chop, perhaps debate the pros and cons of reality vs illusion. Don't say I didn't warn ya!
