Jujutsu Kaisen Skins Are Coming to Fortnite

Hot off the back of a successful cross-promotion for the new season of Futurama, Fortnite is once again dipping its toes into animated series promos. We’ve previously seen some anime tie-ins, with skins from Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan all making an appearance in recent years.

The next collaboration skins come from the smash hit anime Jujutsu Kaisen, which has been enjoying a boom of popularity over the last few years. The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen started airing on Crunchyroll last month, and has been met with positivity across the board so far.

It makes sense then that Fortnite would want to capitalize on this success and popularity with a new set of skins, and that’s exactly what we’re getting. The collab was first leaked on Twitter a few days ago, but Epic Games subsequently uploaded a teaser video showing off four upcoming skins from Jujutsu Kaisen: Saturo Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori, and Nobara Kugisaki.

So far, it seems to only be character skins included in the promo, but given all we have to go off is a teaser, there could be more waiting in the wings. The recent Futurama Fortnite crossover added a weapon, a glider, and an emote, and the Dragon Ball event in the past even had ridiculously overpowered skills to pick up and use.

Whether or not Jujutsu Kaisen will be given the same treatment is anyone’s guess, but it’s unlikely to only be character skins. As for when the skins will be live in the game, the Fortnite Twitter account says they’ll be included in Fortnite version 25.30, which at this stage is set to be released on August 8, 2023.

Jujutsu Kaisen was also recently revealed to be getting its own game, a 2v2 action brawler subtitled Cursed Clash. It doesn’t have a release date yet – only an official website and a few trailers – but it is looking pretty good so far.
