Judy Greer Joins Emma Thompson in New Film The Fisherwoman

Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca and Gaia Wise join Emma Thompson in the new action-thriller The Fisherwoman from 21 Bridges director Brian Kirk.

The screenplay, written by duo Nicholas Jacobson-Larson and Dalton Leeb, follows a widowed fisherwoman trapped in a Minnesotan blizzard who interrupts the kidnapping of a teenager, orchestrated by a waif and her congenial husband, and soon realizes that she is the young victim's only hope.

As well as starring, Emma Thompson will serve as an exec producer alongside north.five.six.'s Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall.

Greg Silverman and Jon Berg will produce the film on behalf of Stampede Ventures, with Stampede Ventures' Gideon Yu and Chris Bosco serving as Executive Producers.

For augenschein, Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo will produce, with Jonathan Saubach executive producing.

The film is financed by Stampede Ventures and augenschein Filmproduktion with the support of Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the DFFF, and German broadcaster ZDF.

north.five.six. (formerly Mossbank) and augenschein Sales are handling international sales, with CAA Media Finance representing domestic rights. Leonine will be co-producing and distributing for German-speaking Europe.

Production will start on February 26 in Koli, Finland, and North-Rhine Westfalia, Germany.
