The actress reportedly passed away on April 2.

Judy Farrell, the actress best known for playing Nurse Able in hit 1970-80s TV series M*A*S*H, has died, according to her son, Michael. She was 84.

The star passed away in a hospital on Sunday, April 2, after suffering a stroke nine days earlier, per TMZ.

According to the report, Farrell was alert when visited by loved ones prior to her passing.

In her role on the Larry Gelbart-created CBS show—which revolved around key personnel in a United States Army Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) in the Korean War—Judy appeared in eight episodes as a nurse. The series also starred Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce, as well as her first husband, Mike Farrell (who she divorced in 1983), as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in the American drama-comedy sitcom.

M*A*S*H co-star Loretta Swit, who starred as Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, remembered Farrell as "family," telling Fox News Digital, "Judy was a most beautiful woman – inside and out. We grew up together. She was family. This has been a painful loss, but we will always have the beauty of her memory. Rest in peace, Nurse Able."

The actress later made guest appearances on other notable TV shows, such as Get Smart, The Partridge Family, and Quincy, M.E., in addition to movies J.W. Coop (1971), Chapter Two (1979), and Long-Term Relationship (2006).

Farrell is survived by her husband Joe Bratcher and her two children, her aforementioned son and daughter, Erin.
