'Judge Judy' Is Ending After 25 Seasons So Start Taping the Reruns ASAP

Judge Judy Sheindlin has announced her beloved court drama, Judge Judy, is coming to an end. Before you totally freak out, know that this isn’t the last you’ll see of her.
She appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’s show to both drop the tragic news of her exit and reveal that she has another series coming out after she wraps Judy. So we’ll lose her original claim to fame, but she’s not leaving TV for good. Nobody can say it like Judy, so here’s her exact explanation:
“I’ve had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS and it’s been successful. Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary. CBS I think sort of felt they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program because now they have 25 years of reruns. So what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years’ worth of reruns. But I’m not tired. So 'Judy Justice' will be coming out a year later.”
She’s 👏 not 👏 tired 👏 people! This is why she’s the queen of the courtroom.
The 77-year-old also told Ellen that she can’t share her new network yet, but reiterated that she'll be bringing the gavel down on financial disputes and dog custody battles for many days to come.
“Judge Judy you’ll be able to see next year, full year, all new shows,” she said. “The following couple of years you should be able to catch all the reruns that CBS has sold to the stations that are currently carrying Judy. And Judy Justice will be going elsewhere. Isn’t that fun?”
The most fun! Especially if one of your favorite family traditions is watching old episodes and yelling at the television when someone didn’t get their rent agreement in writing. Just us? Okay then, in the meantime...
