The ongoing investigation into the possibility of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign doesn’t often bring any of us joy. It’s been a long, dicey road, and the updates are not usually exciting. But once in a while, some really big developments come out, and people freak out. The latest? We learned on Friday that Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI when he was first asked about his communications with the Russians. The former national security advisor is now cooperating with the FBI probe. Joy Behar got the news while live on The View, and watching her react is pretty much our new favorite thing. And with the GOP’s tax plan passing in the Senate, we’re pretty low on favorite things.

On the show, a producer handed Joy a memo on air that delivered the news of Flynn’s guilty plea. She delighted in the news, and so did the studio audience. Behar led them in a mini-chant of “Lock them up!” Ironic, because that’s the same chant Michael Flynn once yelled at Trump campaign rallies to incite supporter’s against Hillary Clinton. We don’t know what this news means just yet, however. We’ll have to wait and see just what the long-lasting ramifications may be.

But Joy Behar took her joy where she could, and rejoiced in the moment.

“ABC’s Brian Ross is reporting, Michael Flynn promised full cooperation to the Mueller team,” she read, “and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians. Yes!”

Cohost Ana Navarro interjected, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and it’s beginning to look a lot like collusion.” But Joy was the most exuberant of the panel, and remained excited enough to get the audience excited, too.

It’s the little things, you know?
