Joshua Jackson is still loving fatherhood, more than a year after his daughter's birth.

The Dawson's Creek and Dr. Death actor opened up about parenthood on an appearance Friday on SiriusXM's Jess Cagle. "It's amazing. It is amazing," Jackson said, gushing about being a father to Janie, his 15-month-old daughter with wife Jodie-Turner Smith. "My first, obviously, and she's just a little bundle of joy every day."

He continued, "It's just this amazing thing where all the clichés are true. I mean, all of them, they're like, 'Oh, you'll never experience love like this.' That's true. And 'You think you're in love with them when they first arrive, but you have no idea how much deeper it gets all the time.' That's absolutely true."

The first-time dad, 43, talked about watching Janie grow and live her newborn life. "As she starts to come alive and really experience the world and her natural curiosity, and she's so fearless, it's just the most incredible thing to watch."

He also shared that he's a big fan of cuddles with his baby girl, whom he and Smith welcomed in April 2020 via home birth. "Sometimes she just wants a hug and your heart falls out of your chest because you're like, 'Aw.'"

Jackson also gushed over his daughter during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday, and shared his and Smith's shared obsession with taking their daughter's photo.

"I think there are whole server farms dedicated to just pictures of my baby now," he joked. "It's amazing how many pictures you can take of one baby."

He added, "[I] checked into the hotel last night, first thing I did was like, 'Hey, did you know I had a baby? Have you seen my baby? She's super cute.' I know all parents think their kid is super cute, but my kid is, like, really super cute."
