In the UK, a contingent of riders known as 50to01 gained international fame for their creative riding styles. They bring a distinct flavor to riding that makes them popular.

In this video, Josh expertly balanced as he nose picked into a sliding turn. The stunt is so creative it is even hard to describe.
Josh Lewis is very impressive on the bike. Though he is a former pro racer, Lewis is known for his jibbing skills.
As you can see, Josh marches to the beat of a different drummer when it comes to seeing the trail. Where most riders see a trail to ride down, the ever-creative Lewis sees an opportunity to skid in a circle.
The 50to01 movement has had a dramatic effect on mountain biking. Many people emulate their style and try to ride playfully rather than efficiently.
Many more riders are building up “slopeduro” with the sole intention of doing tricks on them, but having the capability to ride rut tracks as well, a trend which can be traced back in part to Lewis and his friend's sessioning jumps.
