Josh Hill Tests Which Is Faster: MTB Or Dirt Bike?

Both mountain bikes and dirt bikes are popular vehicles to ride on trails, and there is quite a bit of crossover between the two sports.

But which is faster on a downhill track? Motocross pro Josh Hill traveled to Rock Creek Monster Pro Downhill Series to find out once and for all.

In this video, Hill raced back-to-back runs down the Rock Creek race track on both his downhill bike and his motocross bike to see which was faster.

Both bikes have advantages, but the power of the dirt bike eventually won out by 4 seconds.

This is impressive because Hill himself said how much harder it was to maneuver the dirt bike in the tight corners. Since the track was less tight than others, the dirt bike was able to be competitive.

Which bike wins a race would depend a great deal on the course.

I would give credit to the race organizers for allowing a dirt bike on the trails to settle this argument once and for all.
