Jose Canseco's Ex-Wife Jessica Breaks Her Silence on Those A-Rod Affair Accusations

Jessica Canseco, ex-wife of former baseball star Jose Canseco, blasted the slugger’s “false accusations” that she has been in affair with Alex Rodriguez, the retired baseball superstar who announced his engagement to Jennifer Lopez late last week.

“Those false accusations Jose is making are not true!” the television personality tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Jose Canseco had claimed on Twitter Sunday, after A-Rod and J-Lo announced their engagement on social media, that his fellow ex-ballplayer was cheating on the singer and actress with his ex-wife.

“Alex Rodriguez stop being a piece of shit stop cheating on Jennifer Lopez,” Canseco wrote. “I was there a few months back with her when he called her on the phone.”

But according to his ex-wife, she hasn’t seen him for more than five years. “I certainly did not sleep with him,” she wrote. “I am friendly with both him and Jennifer.”

Neither Lopez nor Rodriguez responded to the claims, nor did A-Rod appear to have responded to Canseco’s bizarre tweet challenging him “to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want.” Canseco has publicly dabbled in mixed martial arts before-most notably, perhaps, in his 2009 fight against child star Danny Bonaduce.

Canseco, 54, was a six-time all-star and two-time World Series champion, but the former “Bash Brother” is perhaps best known now for revelations about his use of steroids-and his tell-all that contended a vast majority of MLB players, including Rodriguez, were using performance enhancing drugs.

Rodriguez had denied using PEDs, but admitted to using banned substances from 2001 to 2003 after reports emerged that he’d tested positive for the drugs. He was suspended for the entire 2014 season for violating league drug policy for using human growth hormone. But the 14-time all-star, two-time American League MVP and World Series champion has somewhat rehabbed his image, embarking on a successful broadcasting career on Sunday Night Baseball. He’s been dating Lopez since 2017.

He proposed to the singer and actress on a beach Saturday, as documented in social media posts by the pair.
