Jordan Fisher Can't Confirm Whether John Ambrose Is in "To All the Boys" 3 But We Sure Hope So

We're getting so close to the 2020 premiere of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel and cast newcomer Jordan Fisher, who plays John Ambrose in the second movie, is already talking up the next installment.

As the subject of the first letter Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) wrote, it's only natural John Ambrose would show up to talk to her about it and subsequently throw a wrench in her relationship with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) during the second film — John Ambrose's arrival had already been teased in the final moments of 2018's To All the Boys I've Loved Before. That's the central conflict fans can expect in the sequel, To All the Boys I've Loved Before: P.S. I Love You. But, even though we have author Jenny Han's novels to rely on, there's a chance the sequel could take a different route. John Ambrose also doesn't appear in the third book, but it's unclear if that'll happen with the movies as well.

So, naturally, knowing whether Jordan has signed on for the third movie is pretty darn important because it possibly gives us a hint as to whether or not Lara Jean chooses John Ambrose or Peter in the sequel. But in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight Jordan could only say when asked if we could see John Ambrose in the final film: "What was the next question? I can’t confirm or deny."

What Jordan could confirm, however, is how life-changing John Ambrose's re-entry into Lara Jean's life will be in P.S. I Love You. As he told ET, "John Ambrose shakes the table up just by being somebody in Lara Jean’s eyes. I think Lara Jean giving any attention to anybody but Peter Kavinsky is already a big deal."

As if that wasn't enough, Jordan also called John Ambrose "a daddy" and spoke about how much fun he had playing him.

"Listen, like, John Ambrose is a daddy," he told ET. "I’m not gonna lie. He’s dope. He’s the guy you hope she ends up with in the grand scheme of things, because he just has his head on his shoulders and he’s very together and he’s charming and all of these things. It was a lot of fun to play and I’m excited for people to see it. I think people going are going to like it."

Jordan, if your performance lives up to even 1% of the hype you've shared in this interview, I have a feeling we're all going to like P.S. I Love You even more than the first TATB.
