Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel Are Officially Engaged: "Forever Starts Now"

After four years of dating, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are officially tying the knot! The Property Brothers host proposed to the New Girl actress on Sunday, August 13th during a family trip to Scotland.

Zooey and Jonathan first met in August 2019 while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke, where the Deschanel sisters faced off against the Scott brothers. The two hit it off and became friends shortly after filming the episode. Zooey was drawn to Jonathan’s witty sense of humor and shared interests, People reported at the time. Once Zooey had officially split from ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, the two were seen stepping out together on public dates.

Hundreds of adorable selfies, many holiday celebrations, and a full home renovation later, the couple of four years announced their engagement on Monday afternoon with the ultimate symbol of modern courtship—a joint Instagram post. "Forever starts now," they wrote, beaming into the camera as Zooey flashes her flower-shaped engagement ring. No details on the wedding date, locale, or venue have been released—yet!
