Jonas Brothers Announce Documentary Chasing Happiness Release Date and How to Watch

Only a little bit longer!

If you haven’t heard, the Jonas Brothers are back with a vengeance, and their pop culture domination continues with a brand-new documentary on Amazon.

We first heard news of the documentary in early March, with Amazon confirming on Twitter, writing, “We go together, better than birds of a feather, you and me and @nickjonas and @joejonasand @kevinjonas….sorry got carried away with news that we’re teaming up with the #JonasBrothers on an exclusive documentary. Follow us for more details.” Some of those aforementioned details have since arrived; according to Variety, the documentary, called Chasing Happiness, will officially hit Amazon Prime Video on June 4.

To announce the news, Amazon released a cute video of the brothers chatting with Alexa, squabbling over which JoBro is her favorite. (She never professes her love for one over the others.) They ask her when Chasing Happiness will premiere, and she confirms that the big day is June 4, 2019.

Chasing Happiness will chronicle the brothers’ childhood, their early years in the spotlight, and their breakup in 2013. It will also shed some light on what led to their reunion and new music, plus how their sibling dynamics have changed since their early days on the Disney Channel. In early March, Nick told James Corden on The Late Late Show that the reunion partially sprung out of doing the documentary.

“About a year and a half ago, we started filming a documentary, and [it] basically tracks our childhood into our time with the band. It was going to be a story about where we are today, our separate lives, doing separate things — Joe with DNCE and me with my solo stuff,” he said. “[But] during that time, we started to realize there was a magic that we felt we were missing, so the process was basically just ‘Why don't we give us another shot?’ We started playing a little music together and realized right away this is where we're meant to be in our lives at this moment.”

We’re pretty sure you’re right, Nick, and we’ll be setting a reminder with Alexa for June 4 so we don’t miss a second of Chasing Happiness.
