Jonah Hill's Ex Details 'Emotionally Abusive' Relationship With Actor

Jonah Hill's ex-girlfriend, Sarah Brady, is opening up about her past relationship with the actor, alleging he was "emotionally abusive" while they were dating.

The surfer shared screenshots of text messages reportedly between herself and Hill on social media in a series of Instagram Stories starting on July 7.

She wrote, "This is a warning to all girls. If your partner is talking to you like this, make an exit plan. Call me if you need an ear."

The text messages showed Hill asking Brady to take down any photos from social media of her "a** in a thong." Brady explained that she went on to take down "all the posts," leading Hill to say that it was a "good start,” but she didn't “seem to get” his point.

He went on, "But it’s not my place to teach you. I’ve made my boundaries clear...You refuse to let go of some of them and you’ve made that clear and I hope it makes you happy.”

Another text message allegedly from the 39-year-old actor told Brady that if she wanted to surf "with men," have "boundaryless inappropriate friendships with men," "to model," "to post pictures of yourself in a bathing suit," "to post sexual pictures," or to have "friendships with women who are in unstable places and from your wild recent past beyond getting a lunch or coffee or something respectful," then "I am not the right partner for you."

"I too struggle with mental health but I do not use it to control [people] like he did to me," Brady stated on Instagram.

She continued, "It’s been a year of healing and growth with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame and self-judgment for things as small as surfing in a swimsuit rather than a more conservative wetsuit. And I’m sure there’s still much more healing from this abuse ahead of me.

Later on, Brady wrote in another slide–seemingly directed at Hill–"I hope my ex has a daughter. Maybe she'll turn him into a real feminist," adding, "because the fact that he calls himself a feminist now is laughable."

Hill has not publicly addressed Brady's statements about their past relationship, and a rep for the actor did not immediately respond to Parade's request for comment.

In early June, Hill welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, Olivia Millar, although the sex and name of the baby has not been made public.

After sharing her experience with Hill, Brady noted, "Someone being an emotionally abusive partner doesn’t mean they’re a terrible person."

She wrote that it "often stems from their own trauma," but "At the same time, it doesn’t mean it’s OK."

On Sunday, July 9, Brady took to her Instagram Story again, sharing supportive messages from friends, fans, and the stories of other people who left similar relationships.
