Jonah Hill Has Pink Hair Now
Noted king of street style, overall Instagram legend, and beloved actor/director Jonah Hill has been on one hell of a fashion streak of late. From tie-dyed tees to new tattoos to single-handedly making the case for getting your ear pierced, the dude has been playing by his own rules and absolutely smashing it. His latest style swerve? Pink hair. Yup: Hill decided to liven things up and dive into the warm glow of summer with a head full of brightly colored, freshly dyed pink hair. And you know what? It looks a whole lot cooler than it sounds.
Hill’s style tends to err on the side of low-key and relaxed-fit, but this particular dye job is no toned-down millennial pink. In fact, it’s a highly saturated Manic Panic shade that is as punk rock as it gets without involving liberty spikes or a Mohawk. Summer is usually the time when guys can experiment with dyeing their hair: bleaching it platinum blond, or coloring it some muted shade of pastel. But Hill has never hesitated to color outside the sometimes-safe lines of menswear. Pink hair is wild and carefree—and exactly the kind of thing we’ve all come to love about Hill’s personal style. He also kept his light-brown beard intact (smart move), which tones down the eye-burning brightness of his pink dome.
Jonah Hill’s status as a cult menswear icon is a little tricky to explain, but if we have to put a finger on his appeal, we'd say it's tied to the fact that the dude always looks like he’s dressed exactly the way he wants to be. Sometimes that might mean just wearing the unlikely-but-fashionable combo of shorts and an overcoat. Other times it means getting new forearm tattoos, or dyeing his hair pink.
