Jonah Hill Has Gone Full Tie-Dye

Deadhead? Dad who likes to grill? Downtown scenester? Whatever he is, Jonah is dressing like his best self.

It’s no secret that Jonah Hill has joined the ranks of unlikely style heroes—he might be the most-blogged about shorts wearer this side of Shia LaBeouf. And for good reason: He solved transitional spring style! He invented the cure for holiday outfit blues! He is doing him, and no one else.

But lately, as late winter has given way to full-on spring, and maybe even summer, Jonah's overcoat-and-shorts look has gone into storage. In its place, he's pulled out something new. Lately, Jonah Hill has been dressing like a former deadhead turned dad, recovered burnout, and grillmaster who just likes to unwind on weekends. He’s worn tie-dye sharks with not-exactly-fashion pale jeans. He’s paired a tie-dye Grateful Dead longsleeve with a messenger bag and wireless headphones. He rocked another tie-dye tee—this one from the 1992 Lithuanian Olympic basketball team—with white pants and sockless white loafers.

You might be noticing an overarching theme here—and yes, it’s tie-dye. You might argue that Jonah is merely following trends; tie-dye has been everywhere this year. But the thing about trends is you can easily suss out who’s trying out slightly crappy concert tees for the first time in 2018, and who has clearly been wearing them their whole life. And Jonah Hill? Jonah Hill has clearly been wearing crappy shirts and weird outfits his whole life.
